Did you know that Owen’s Net Impact chapter is a lender to a Kiva entrepreneur?

Eldar with his cow purchased using a Kiva loan

Two years ago, our Net Impact chapter contributed a small loan to help a Kiva entrepreneur work towards economic independence. Our entrepreneur is Eldar Mammadov.  He is 70 years old, married, and lives with his 5 children in the Khoshchobanli village, situated in Imishli in the sothern part of Azerbaijan. Eldar applied for his loan to buy a second cow and a calf to support his small business and to be able to better provide for his family and their needs. The estimated prices for a a cow and a calf are US$800 and US$400, respectively.

In the coming year, Owen’s Net Impact chapter hopes to continue our support of Kiva entrepreneurs.  As we do so, we will share regular updates about our entrepreneurs and their loans.
